Shine Wooden Industries (SWI), a renowned name among
the entrepreneurs of Bhaktapur, is an enterprise run by a bunch of skillful and
highly dedicated youths to bring alive a common motto, “Purkhale sirjeko
Sampati, Hamro Kala Ra Sanskriti” (Ancestral creation, our culture and
tradition). Situated at Chwakantila ward no. 9 of the Changunarayan Municipality
on the periphery of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Bhaktapur Municipality,
this Industry endeavors to preserve the art and culture of the cultural capital
of Nepal, Bhaktapur and also the whole nation, Registered under the ‘small and
cottage Industries Act’ in 2065 B.S. this interprise functions within the
perimeter set up by the existing law of Nepal Government. SWI is located on the
Tathali - Nala road, 1K.M. east of Chyamasingh Bus Park. The owners of this
enterprises have been involved in the creation and production of wood, wooden
products as well as various carvings for the last 25 years. The leadership and
participation of the owners in the successful, highly appreciated
reconstruction of the Bhairavnath Temple, Nyatapola Temple, The storage house
of the Taleju Bhawani Including the construction of the entry gates at
Chyamasingh, Byasi and Dudhpati (Which were, of course, the project assigned by
the Bhaktapur Municipality), itself speaks for the marvelous skill and complete
dedication of the entrepreneurs of the company. SWI members have made a major
contribution in the creation of the exemplary masterpieces: Pati at
Changunarayan, Swasthani Temple at Matatirtha, Ganesh Temple, Shiva Temple, Hom
Kund, Laxmi Narayan Temple at Pokhara, Supa Deurali Bhagwoti Temple at
Arghakhachi, Ganesh Temple at Bhairahawa, Layaku Pati at Basantapur, Maruhiti
Pati are some of the many accomplished tasks which highlight our expanding
working area all over Nepal and our incrasing popularity, At the moment, the
construction of Shiva Temple at Sandhikharka of Arghakhachi is being carried
out under our supervision.
